Hape Initiates a Pop-up Store in Ningbo Hankyu
On 16th April, Ningbo Hankyu announced its grand opening. Hankyu, a top Japanese department store that gathers a great number of luxury and fashionable brands, children & baby products and gourmet food stores, attracted numerous customers and consumers on its first day of opening in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. Undoubtedly, Ningbo Hankyu has become a new landmark amongst the city’s trendsetters.
As a well-known high-end toy brand, Hape® was invited to join in Hankyu’s opening ceremony, and presented an attractive pop-up store between 16th April to 15th June. The Hape pop-up store was the first brand campaign in the newly opened mall, and we presented an enormous and creative Quadrilla display that not only brought spectacular visuals to customers, but also attracted numerous parents and kids come and experience the fantastic toys for themselves. Additionally, we showcased a wonderful railway adventure for children to explore, underscoring the fact that in the pop-up shop, customers can not only experience high-quality toys but can receive exquisite gifts prepared by Hape too. On the opening day, the pop-up store achieved a new peak for Hape offline stores since the outbreak of pandemic. Notably, the Railway Bucket-Builder-Set was the best seller of the day.
The CEO of Hape Holding AG., Mr. Peter Handstein, also attended the opening day of Ningbo Hankyu. Peter introduced the Hape brand philosophy and Quadrilla, before inviting children to experience the railway toys for themselves.
The success of Hape’s pop-up store in Hankyu further proved the recovery of the offline economy and provided a good example of Hape’s cooperation with high-end commercial entities. Based on this, we will invest more on offline market events to bring more excellent toy experiences to children and families alike.
