Hape Donate Masks to German Federal Ministry of Health WE ARE TOGETHER
As the COVID-19 global pandemic continues to spread all over the world, the situation is becoming severe, especially in European countries that face a lack of medical supplies. During this period, Hape has maintained its commitment to society and to next generation.
In the last week of March, a call from the German Chamber of Commerce in China came in announcing that the German government is organizing urgent transportation of relief supplies from China to Germany by air in order to better tackle the current health crisis. Realizing that, as a responsible corporate enterprise, now was the time to act decisively, we reacted immediately and within two days 10,000 medical masks were urgently collected by Hape, thanks to the co-operation of its different departments. Soon after, the masks were transported to Fieger – the logistics company handling the operation – and should reach Frankfurt before April 6th, where they will be distributed throughout the country by the German Federal Ministry of Health accordingly.
To help battle the pandemic, Hape has taken a series of actions, including designating a certain proportion of its donated 5-million charity fund to non-government organizations, building internal preventions and control systems to guarantee the safety and health of our stuff and donating toys and medical supplies to children in Wuhan hospitals and to the German public. Faced with this historical challenge, the power of the individual maybe limited, but the power of kindness and love is infinite and can cross national and racial borders. We are proud to join in this fight together and committed, as always, to making the world a better place.
