About Baby Einstein

Baby Einstein was founded in 1996 by the mother and former teacher Julie Aigner-Clark at her home in Georgia. Driven by her passion for the arts, she wanted to introduce small children to the fundamentals of music, language, poetry, colours, shapes and more. The original video she created – with puppets and scores from classical composers – won the Parenting Magazine Award for best video of the year in 1997 and the series that followed became synonymous with the name Baby Einstein.

Decades later, we still uphold Aigner-Clark’s original vision at the centre of everything we do. Baby Einstein started as a teaching resource for parents, and we still believe that parents are the first and best teachers for their babies.

Where is the brand present today?

In short, everywhere. Our classic videos are now streamed in over 50 countries and we have expanded our offering to include new “edutainment” for growing children. We design toys, equipment, technology, books and more for everything from story time to play time. Our mission is to create a 360° environment of curiosity, in which children feel safe to ask questions and parents are given the ability to teach them the answers.

For every family – around the world

Baby Einstein has collaborated with experts in child development in order to devise our own teaching philosophy. Inspired by STEAM principles and the Montessori method & supported by cognitive science, “The Einstein Way” is the driving force for all of the content we develop and all of the products we design.
